My story...! I am a "Thirty Something" year old SAHM/WAHM with two wonderful and wacky children. My Son Corbin is 5 (going on 30!) and my daughter Chloe is 2 1/2 (going on 16 with the attitude to BOOT!) I have been married to my Soulmate Matt for almost 8 years now. (Where the heck does time go?) I currently have a home daycare and in additon to my own two kiddos, I take care of 6 MORE. YES, that's right a total of 8 KIDS. And Yep, before you even ask. I AM cRaZy. I'll be the first to admit that! Cutie Patootie Boutique was born as an attempt to SAVE my Sanity!!! I do love my little friends that come to spend the day with me but I am ready for a change. I have always loved crafting and always wanted to learn how to sew (not just the sewing on the button kind like we all were forced to learn in Home-Ec!) so...In February of '08 I bought myself a used sewing machine on Craigslist for $50, got a quickie lesson from my M-I-L and went home to teach myself how to SEW. I sat at my dining room table while my hubby Matt laughed at me because every other word out of my mouth should have lead me straight to the bathroom to wash my mouth out with soap.(and to think, I don't ususally SWEAR!) I broke several needles and Matt had to come over and rescue me and calmly show me how to re-thread the needle. LOL. (Thanks Honey!)So, with several attempts and FINALLY being able to sew in a staight line (lol) I was on my way. I can't believe how quickly my business has taken off. I am busy pretty much 24/7 creating things for my wonderful customers. If you are wondering how I have time to sew with having a family and a daycare. LOL...I confess, my house is a wreck (most of the time) laundry is stock piled up (all the time) and when my husband calls home to ask "what's for dinner?" he usually gets one of two answers..."Chicken Something!" or "Whatever you want to pick up on your way home!" Lucky for me he has a good sense of humor and is my biggest FAN. My kids are supportive and patient too. Corbin tells everyone that "My Mom makes diaper cakes so I can buy toys!" and Chloe is my walking Billboard for pillowcase dresses and hair accessories. She is going to be my little Vera Wang in training. She LOVES to go the fabric store and finger all the textures of fabric. I am so thankful for all my family and friends that have supported me through this first chapter of my journey. Thank you also to all my "New" friends who have linked me up to their sites (you lovely ladies KNOW WHO YOU ARE!) I have such a long list of people to thank, but I have babbled long enough (I am sure the majoraty of the people have already quit reading by now!) But hey, you are the one who clicked here to read "About ME!" So...thank you to everyone! Stay tuned. More fabulous, Mommy, kid and budget friendly items are in the works.
Sincerely yours!
